Monthly visual check
- Watch the door open and close from a safe position
- Listen for new grinding, scraping or popping
- Look for frayed cables, loose hardware and damaged rollers
- Check tracks for obvious damage or obstruction
- Confirm safety sensors are clean and unobstructed
Keep moving parts clean

Know what not to adjust
Do not attempt to release or adjust torsion springs, extension springs, cable drums or loaded lift cables unless qualified.
