Safe sensor checks

1. Clear objects from between the sensors.
2. Gently clean the lenses.
3. Look for obvious movement or misalignment.
4. Check whether indicator lights are steady, off or blinking.
5. Inspect visible low-voltage wiring for obvious damage.

If sensors look fine

The issue may involve opener settings, wiring, controls or mechanical resistance. See opener repair.

Do not bypass the safety system

If the door will not close normally and the cause is unclear, have the system checked rather than defeating the safety feature.
