Garage Door Won't Close

Check the opening first

Remove obvious objects from the doorway and the area around the tracks. Do not place yourself beneath a moving door while testing it.

Look at the sensors

Dirty, blocked or misaligned photo-eyes can prevent normal closing. See garage door sensor problems.

If the door reverses

The issue may involve sensor alignment, travel settings, force settings or resistance in the door. If the door binds, jerks or sits crooked, stop operating it.
